For the second year running Newtownards Airport is set to play host to a spectacular 2-day celebration of aviation and motorsport. The 9th and 10th of June 2012 will see the return of the Ards Festival of Speed event, which organisers promise will be a fantastic family day out.
The 2012 Ards Festival of Speed (NI) is sure to set hearts of all ages racing with the fabulous aerobatic display teams, harking back to a bygone era of real heroes and dare devils.
Live action will range from aerobatic displays and helicopter rides to the Ards TT Sprint, 1/4 Mile Drag Racing, and with heart stopping demonstrations from Drift cars and an eclectic blend of various racing machines. Providing the aerobatic entertainment will be The Blades, TRIG Aerobatic and the RV8tors.
A huge variety of exotic machinery from supercars to classic race bikes will take to the track, driven by motorsports stars past and present. There will also be monster truck rides and a funfair for the public.
We have been working hard for many months to attract the best entertainment line-up for the 2012 Ards Festival of Speed and it is shaping up to be one of the biggest days in the calendar for enthusiasts and families.
